Our journey began in the digital realm, where Yuri first saw Cristina on Tinder. His first message to her was a blend of curiosity and admiration: "You're beautiful, smart, and flexible, what are you hiding?"
Cristina, with her characteristic playfulness, mentioned that her pointy elbows might be a limiting factor if they were to snuggle. Yuri was instantly charmed by her wit.
The day of their first date was memorable for more than just their connection. Cristina was over 40 minutes late.
She had been babysitting her baby nephew, rushed home to shower and change, and then misplaced her car keys. Despite the delay, she kept Yuri informed, and he patiently waited at the sushi restaurant, flowers in hand.
When Cristina finally arrived, she stepped out of her car, gracefully switching from her driving shoes to heels, (finally) ready for their date. Yuri thought Cristina was going to be trouble.
Their date began with a spark that they couldn't ignore. After sushi, neither wanted the night to end, so they went to Demetres for waffles and ice cream.
This sweet ending gave them more time to get to know each other, and it was during these conversations that they realized just how special their connection was.
Since that night, they've been inseparable. Each day has brought them closer, their love growing stronger with every shared moment and adventure.

On our very first trip together, three months into dating, we went to Tobermory. We both got sick with COVID-19, but even in our shared misery, we managed to have a great time, which solidified our bond.
Our next adventure took us to Mont Tremblant. Invited by Yuri's sister to join her family for the Family Day long weekend, we braved the worst snowstorm of the year.
What was supposed to be a six-hour drive turned into a harrowing twelve-hour journey, finally arriving safely at 3 AM. Despite the challenges, the trip was filled with warmth and laughter.
A few months into dating, we decided to move in together and bought our first house. It seemed like everything that could go wrong did—our dishwasher broke, the sink needed replacing, and our fish tank leaked into the living room ceiling. Yet, we found humor in these situations, turning every mishap into a memorable story.
Our travels continued with a trip to Montreal, where we faced yet another unexpected hurdle. Our Airbnb was in ruins upon arrival, forcing us to find alternative accommodation in the middle of the night, just hours before Yuri had to attend an event.
Despite the chaos, we navigated through it together, proving that we could handle anything life threw at us.
Florida became a frequent destination for us, with two trips in one year. The first was with friends, and the second was a prize Cristina won.
We also ventured to New York that same year, exploring the vibrant city together.
The following year was even more adventurous. We visited Los Angeles, California, where we experienced the magic of Disneyland.
But the pinnacle of our travels was our romantic trip to Paris, France. It was there, beside the Seine River, that Yuri proposed to Cristina, fulfilling her dream of a scenic and unforgettable proposal.
Each of these adventures has strengthened our love and partnership, showing us that together, we can conquer anything.
We can't wait for many more adventures and the countless memories they will bring.
